Foods and Novels

I love food. I love eating as much as I love cooking and baking. I'm very adventurous when it comes to food. Though I don't claim to be an expert, I have my own personal preferences when it comes to food.

So having said that, para sa akin ay may mga katumbas na pagkain o inumin ang mga bagay na nasa paligid ko. I won't mention the other things anymore.

No matter where it came from or how it was made.

Those calories! Yum!
But it's an acquired taste and I eventually warm up to it.

Imagine all that coffee!
It has a pretty strong flavor.
Then meron din yung parang Chocolate Cake na kahit alam kong dapat kainin in moderate amounts ay hindi ko parin mapigilan ang magpaka-gluttonous.
Those chocolate drip! Need I say more?

So the point of this post is not really to boast my humongous appetite. LOL! Whether it's about food, movie, TV show, novel, and even my own works.

I always end up deleting the first chapters that I wrote. Then meron yung alam kong gasgas na gasgas na. As in naulit ulit na sa iba-ibang story-telling medium pero sadyang gusto ko paring isulat. And finally, meron yung apprehensive akong isulat sa una. But eventually, it all worked out and I ended up feeling really happy with the result. :)

Well, here they are.

The Guy From Apartment 4E - White Chocolate Mocha
At that time, this was all I could think about. Regardless of its shortcomings, I love it.

My Bright Star - Chocolate Cake
So I didn't hesitate to write about it.

The Bad Boy Syndrome - White Chocolate Mocha
I love the idea of a bad boy turned good for the love of his life.

Escape With Me - Cafe Americano
It took me a while before warming up to this novel. In theory, I liked the idea of a runaway bride. I couldn't connect with the characters. But I was determined to finish it and in the end, I was able to make it work.

Miss First Date Girl - Maple Candied Bacon Cheesecake
I was really skeptical at first. I can't really explain. It just worked out.

The Cat-dog-mouse Love Affair - Chocolate Cake
This is another one of my favorite plots: enemies turned lovers. I just love reading these kinds of stories. That's why I immediately jumped into writing my own version. Jace and Darla were like my cutest characters.

Just Another Cliche Love Story - Chocolate Cake
Another chocolate-cake-like novel for me: bestfriend turned lovers. I just love this plot and I love Mel and Gabe. I have my own guy bestfriend and some of the parts of this novel were literally drawn out from my and my bestfriend's experiences together. Though we never really saw each other romantically. Yes, a boy and a girl could really be just friends.

My Bossy Assistant - Cafe Americano and Maple Candied Bacon Cheesecake
The concept of the boss falling in love with his assistant was a very enticing plot for me. And honestly, I was so proud of it at that time. But it didn't work out really well. It got rejected. So it was like a bittersweet story. I opened it and read again. Nanghinayang ako. It wasn't the best but it had good parts. So I started editing it. There were so many ideas playing in my head while editing. In the end, all my apprehensions and doubts paid off. I incorporated all my new ideas and it turned into a two-book novel I could be proud of.

So there you go. I hope you enjoyed reading my quirky take on my own novels. ♥♥♥
